The International Cricket Confederation (ICC) Men’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup will be held in Sri Lanka from January to February 2024, marking the third time the country has hosted the event, last time in 2006 and 2000. Sri Lanka became the second country after New Zealand to host the event three times. Team India will be looking to defend their title status.
Qualification-wise, six teams are participating, with one automatically qualifying for the 2024 World Cup and the other five competing through regional qualifiers. It is worth mentioning that Nepal defeated the United Arab Emirates in the Asian qualifiers and became the first team to successfully advance through the regional qualifiers, injecting additional honors and expectations into the 2024 U19 World Cup.
